Week 2 reflection
This week I have spent quite a bit of time exploring apps to use with students. Educreations was an interesting one where you could demonstrate a white board lesson and record you talking. There were many apps I found interesting but then you need to purchase add ons or the "full app" at additional cost. I am not sure how this works in our school setting with mobile iPads for grade levels, who covers the expense? Do you need to purchase the app for each iPad? I know some sharing can be done between your own devices but not sure how it works in the educational setting. The social skill builder app was very interesting but not many units available yet. Most of the twelve apps I played around with would be useful in the classroom for interactive practice of skills in a different format. In addition, I used craigslist to search for used vehicles in the $2,000-$3,500 price range; my son is looking for a reliable used vehicle. I also spent one afternoon checking out everyone else's blogs. Stacey was able to help me troubleshoot a blogger typing issue & I was able to make my blog more colorful. I have become a bit addicted to my iPad but that is most likely due to my limited physical options.

My beautiful but frustrating blog
So I spent a few minutes exploring blogger & now have a prettier page. I was ready to throw my iPad last night when it ate two posts & then froze on the third attempt at responding...then I just emailed the person my answer. Technology is so cool when it works & so frustrating when it doesn't!

1st week
So I have explored my iPad quite a bit but I must admit it has been in a post surgery drug induced state so I can't be certain I will remember what I have discovered. I have checked both home & school email, surfed the web, played words with friends, sudoku, angry birds, a dice game, so clay app (which was really boring even in my wacked out state). My son taught me how to sync it to apple tv & run Netflix too. My advantage is I am trying to ensure no one steals my couch...method of success: post surgery recooperation. Oh, there are people here...bye!

Jigsaw jumble
This app is great if u like doing puzzles. Background music & no lost pieces...just the right speed for crashing on the couch😌.
